HENDERSON BAPTIST CHURCH COMMUNITY TRUST
Henderson Baptist Church Community Trust seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of people in Henderson and the surrounding area. With an emphasis on community development and the alleviation of poverty, the Trust provides a sharp focus that reminds us of the part we must play as Christians in this local community - to bring hope, shelter, food and comfort to those who need it.
Community Meal

Every Friday night at 6pm we share a meal together as a community. This is made possible by the wonderful generosity of volunteers, sponsors and other donors. People come to our Community Meal for a range of reasons: some feel it is an opportunity to spend time with others in a safe environment; others enjoy the christian values at work throughout the evening; and still others see it as a good opportunity to simply come for a hot meal and some friendly conversation.
Each week we serve more than 100 meals including up to 30 for local rough sleepers. Special thanks to Nola's Orchard, Pak 'n Save (Alderman Drive) and Fresh Choice (Glen Eden) for helping make this happen! |
TGiFTGiF is an interactive children's programme that runs every Friday night, 6:30pm, straight after the Community Meal. With a mixture of stories, games and activities the children have a great time, while also learning the foundations of Christian faith.
TGiF is for children of Primary and Intermediate School age. |
Car Boot Sale
For many years the Car Boot Sale has been a mainstay of Henderson Community life. Each week buyers and sellers alike come and enjoy themselves while getting a few bargains.
The sale runs from 6am - midday each Saturday morning. Stalls cost $10 per carpark and are on a first-come-first-served basis. No hot food (unless by prior arrangement) or illicit material allowed. Thank you. |
